The founder of Ennex Records Rob A.K.A Nexus has touched on many genre’s of music apart from his true love DnB. His first exploration into underground music came at the age of 15 when a friend introduced the sound of 4x4 Garage, it was not long before Rob aspired to being a DJ and Producer. At the age of 17 after a year or so messing around on others setups it was time to purchase a set of decks, the rest as they say is history. After working on mainly 2 Step and RnB orientated tracks with a few Breakbeat elements in there, and with over 20 tracks behind him it was time for the switch. Having been introduced to a group of guys who literally lived and breathed Drum and Bass, it only took 3 months before the sound Rob had become so well known for on Pirate Stations and in Partys across London was dumped.

It doesn't matter how angry or stressed about something I am, the second a DnB tune comes on its all smiles and it gets me well charged! I'm sure people think I’m a nuttah sometimes when they see me driving around almost headbutting the steering wheel!”
The Tunes and the Future
I like to think my stuff is different from the rest, and I pretty much try and do something new every time I sit down to make some beats. My music always varies hugely depending on what sort of mood im in when starting a track, allot of the time I’ll have the intention doing a certain type of tune, but it always goes out of the window.
Should I be asked to describe my style I would struggle to answer, I just make tunes and if people want to categorise them then that’s they’re choice. I make music for myself and I think that’s very important. The future, well im just gonna keep making beats and see what happens. As far as the label goes the sky is the limit, and we intend to keep working at it and give 100% every step of the way. We want to give as many fresh artists as possible the chance to get out there, and we’ll always be reppin' for the full spectrum of DnB!
